Month 1 Results

In the month since I started the blog and I have lost 12 pounds!  I was not always consistent in my healthy eating and blogging, but I am happy to weigh less than I did a month ago.  

I have a goal this month of losing another 13 (or more) pounds, writing in my blog more and taking fewer 'cheat' days.

  1. Congrats, Shauna! That is an impressive weight loss, and has to be motivating as you continue to work towards your goal.

    Are you doing the new WW points plan? I am curious what the difference is from the old plan.

  2. Hi Nina. Thanks for the kudos. I am doing the new WW plan. The difference is now the points are calculated using grams of protein, carbs, fiber and fat...not just calories. High carb foods and/or those with more fat cost more points than before so I am really trying to stay away from processed foods. However, we do get 49 extra weekly points instead of 35. Another big difference - and a good one - is that fruit now counts for zero points. Of course they suggest not eating a whole bushel of bananas or oranges, but zero points is really good if one can load up on fruits and veggies. It took some getting used to, but I am starting to like the new program.
